Behold the Mella, with her commanding cape sleeves and acres of iridescent disc sequins. This sequin romper will give you a striking silhouette, yet is easy and comfortable to wear thanks to the organic cotton fabric and carefully designed fit.


HOW IT FITS

• DRAPE & FIT: a flattering V-neck flows into full circle cape sleeves, before gathering into a non-stretch waist. Gently tailored A-line shorts sit neatly over the hip bones before kicking out at the leg. The strong metal zipper down the back has a tassel pull, making this playsuit easy to get in and out of.

• BRA TIPS: the cape sleeves are open from underarm to high waist, so when you lift your arms, a glimpse of bra might be seen. You may like to wear a nude bra, or one in a bright colour, or if you prefer your bra to be completely concealed, add a V-neck vest or crop top layer.

• NON-STRETCH: woven non-stretch organic cotton gives just the right amount of structure and a good drape.

• NO ITCHY SEQUINS: we promise our sequins don't itch! The soft fabric and cotton thread is smooth and comfortable against your skin. It’s party wear that feels like lounge wear.


SIZING

This style fits true to size in sizes XXS to M.  In sizes L to XXL, it runs slightly large, so you may like to size down.  The waist is fitted, but the shorts are roomier, so if you are bigger on your bottom half like our model Anna, you can select your size based on your waist measurement (check the Size Guide) in the confidence that there will be room in the fit of the shorts to accommodate your hips.

Our model Anna is wearing size S. Her top half is UK 10 (US 6) and bottom half UK 16 (US 12) Her height is 5’9” (176cm) bust 35.5” (90cm) waist 28.5” (72cm) hip 43” (109cm)

For a cinched-in waist, check the WAIST measurement on the size chart and choose the size which is closest to your waist measurement.

COLOUR

Chameleon will woo you with her soft sage green tones. Flashes of mint and warm peachy gold make this sequin glow. A lush, verdant colour, it makes us think of the sea, morning sunshine, and faraway places. We did a very limited run of this colour way back in 2016, and Rosa has been wanting to bring it back ever since.

The Mella is an outfit in one, an easy-to-wear sequin romper that will take you from day to night. Simply add your choice of footwear: trainers (sneakers) for all-day festival comfort, or for special occasions wear with statement heels or boots. The Mella really is an easy-going style to wear.

Our clothes are made with a slow fashion ethos. Everything is designed by Rosa and her team in her studio in Cornwall, UK, and made by a female-led family business in Bali, Indonesia. Rosa has been working closely with Annie and her team in Bali since 2010. Every sequin is hand-stitched by a skilled artisan, and each piece comes with a tag showing the name of the maker.
